Investigating Health Literacy Level and Related Factors Among Adults in Qom

Background: Health literacy (HL) is one of the main determinants health behaviors. It influenced by various individual and social factors. Inadequate generally prevalent though its levels may vary among people in different societies. Objectives: This study aimed to investigate level adult Qom, Iran. Methods: cross-sectional survey was conducted 2020 Qom HL people. Due outbreak COVID-19 epidemic, questionnaire distributed using media small message service (SMS) obtain most heterogeneous sample possible. Then, a total 488 individuals were recruited. Data analysis performed SPSS version 22 adopting linear regression model determine factors influencing HL. P-values < 5% considered statistically significant. Results: Results showed that inadequate, moderate, adequate participants 14.3%, 60.5%, 25.2%, respectively. Gender education significantly associated with at 95% confidence interval.
